Mpls MadWoman Alex Steinman curated questions that got to the heart of the matter quickly, and the panel shared vulnerable anecdotes and amazing tweet worthy advice.

Be confident but don’t be a dick

Go to every meeting that you can, take in the experience, be over prepared but not over the top. Don't raise your hand. Say it. You’re not running the meeting or leading it, but no one is going to say no to someone who is prepared and has thought about something. Don't be afraid to speak up, it's unlikely that they'll ask you how you feel — @kristerious
Be proud of the work you do, don’t feel that any task is beneath you… Do them all with the same energy and pride
“I look at all of the experiences that have shaped me as a person, its not about the money or the prestige, its about having the will to say whatever is placed in front of me at this time, i'm going to put my all into it — an email, a word doc, a package to send to a client,. its going to be my brand of profit, my brand of quality. at the end of the day I'm going to look back and say am I happy with that?” — @ProfitIdowu
Treat every single job you have as a class, take that job and learn every little thing that you can from it. — @RobinDybevik
The why is important. You may think you deserve it internally, but it's your responsibility to bring the why to them. Don't expect to be given anything without bringing the need to your boss. — @awsteinman
Everyone battles imposter syndrome
“Imposter syndrome is a very real thing, even if you're killing it. That little nagging feeling — we all have that feeling. — @kristerious
Recognize your reality — you got to this point because you deserve it. you're here at the table to kick ass. So do it. — @RobinDybevik
What about dealing with conflict about being young?
Don't feel like it's your fault for your feelings — if you're working on a team make it collaborative. you have to work with them as much as they have to work with you — @ProfitIdowu
Right now there is a lot to be said about the quality of the experiences that you have — millennials probably have more experience using social than many people who have been in the industry. Even if you don't have as much experience, perhaps you have more quality experience. — @RobinDybevik
It's not about how long you're in a position, it's about what you've gotten done. Its about the level of effort and ambition. Prove that you really want that next steps and go after it. if you want to move out of the role you need to show that you're worth it.” — @RobinDybevik
