I founded Nina Hale, Inc. in 2005, and we're now at 50 employees. I've been married to musician and writer Dylan Hicks for 20 years, and we have a 14 year old son Jackson. I'm a cat lady, a hobbiest upholsterer (I'm damn good), and a reluctant exerciser. I studied folklore and popular culture at Brown University and didn't find many jobs for folklorists when I came back home.

I'm living proof that not having a plan can be a plan. I majored in journalism with an eye toward becoming a world-renowned news anchor. After college graduation and a less than inspiring stint as an on-air personality in Des Moines, I moved back to Minneapolis to reassess my career goals. Needing to earn rent money, I took a job as an agency receptionist. I moved on to Campbell-Mithun for a little over a decade, and have been at Fame since 2003.
